CTC267: Ornate Garden Suite – Week 1

I’m back with another CASEing the Catty blog hop, this is week 1 of being inspired by the flowers of the Ornate Garden Suite.  If your starting here, or joining me from Julia’s blog, Welcome! 

For my card, I decided to feature the gorgeous Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Along with other elements of the suite.

I started off with piece of Old Olive Cardstock (5-3/4” x 8-1/4”; scored: 4-1/8”).  I cut the florally frame out of Early Espresso Cardstock and the stitched frame from Whisper White Cardstock, both dies are from the Ornate Layers Dies.  Adhering the two piece together with Tear & Tape Adhesive.

I stamped the sentiment from the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set, the “Thank You” is in stamped off Early Espresso ink and the “seriously,” in full strength Early Espresso ink.  On the card base I layered a piece of the Designer Series Paper (5-1/2” x 4-7/8”), tieing a piece of the Old Olive ribbon, from the Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo Pack, with a bow.  Then adhering the DSP to the card base and the sentiment piece over the ribbon with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
