The Mixed Medallions Step Up

I wanted to spotlight the Mixed Medallions Card Kit from the Sale-A-Bration Catalogue.  This kit contains preprinted sentiments so no stamping required.  This card kit is free with a $90 purchase before shipping & handling until the 31 March.

I wanted to demonstrate how when you take a few extra steps you can step up these beautiful cards.

Products used:

So here are the cards as per the written instructions.

My first step I simply added some die cut pieces.  Using the Eastern Medallions Thinlits Dies I cut out a Sahara Sand and a Berry Burst Medallion.  I adhered them underneath the sentiment pieces on the card using Tear & Tape Adhesive.

The final step up includes the Eastern Medallions Thinlits Die pieces.  I used the back of the preprinted sentiments of the other languages to stamp the sentiments from the Eastern Beauty Photopolymer Stamp Set, stamping in Calypso Coral Classic Stampin’ Pad.

I adhered a piece of Calypso Coral ribbon from the Shimmer Ribbon Pack (also found in the Sale-A-Bration catalogue).  Then I punched a circle of Whisper White Cardstock using the 1-1/2″ Circle Punch, and attached it to the card with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Then I attached the sentiment and scalloped circle as normal.

I love how quick and easy this kit is to put together and with some simple step ups you can take thees cards to the next level.

Until next time… Happy Stampin’,

Annual Catalogue 2017-2018, Challenge, Global-Design-Project, Sketch Challenge, Stampin Up, Stampin' Up! Colours, Thank You Card

#gdp098 – Sketch Challenge

Today I played along with the Global Design Project's Sketch Challenge.  I really wanted to use the Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper, which I have had for over a month and haven't used.

How I made this card:

  • Card base is A6 Thick Whisper White (Cut 297 x 105mm; scored 148mm).
  • The background is 143 x 100mm.
  • I fussy cut the feather looking paper. I used Stampin' Dimensionals along the top of the gold piece and adhered it to the other piece.  I used Snail adhesive all the DSP pieces together.
  • I wrapped the Linen Thread around twice and tied bow.  I stuck another piece of Stampin' Dimenionals at the bottom of the gold piece.  I adhered the all the DSP to the card base.
  • The sentiment is from Label Me Pretty Stamp Set.  I stamped in Tranquil Tide and punched it out with a 1-1/4" Punch.
  • I punched out a piece Fresh Fig with the Pretty Label Punch and adhered the sentiment with a dimensional.  I went to attach it to the card but felt that it looked a bit flat, so I punched out a piece of Whisper White with the Pretty Label Punch, cut it down the middle and adhered it to the sentiment.

I really enjoyed playing along with GDP which I haven't done in a while.

Until next time… Happy Stampin',

Annual Catalogue 2017-2018, CASEing the Catty, Thank You Card

CTC136 – Thanks

Today I am playing along with CASEing the Catty challenge… CASEing pages from the Thanks section of the Annual Catalogue.

I chose the card on page 128.

I cased the colours and layout of the card.  I used the Eastern Beauty and the You’re Delightful Stamp Set.

How I made this card:

  1. A6 Card base in Pool Party.
  2. Whisper White matte cut to 10 x 14.4cm, I die cut sections out with the Eastern Medallion Thinlits Dies.
  3. Behind the Whisper White piece I cut small pieces of Vellum and Lemon Lime Twists and adhered them to the back.
  4. I stamped and die cut the Emerald Envy and Peekaboo Peach pieces.
  5. I die cut the Calypso Coral piece.
  6. I cut 2 x 1cm strips of Lemon Lime Twist.
  7. The sentiment is from the You’re Delightful stamp set, stamped on to Pool Party with Emerald Envy and cut out with the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes die set.

I hope you enjoyed my take on this card.

Until next time… Happy Stampin’,

Annual Catalogue 2017-2018

Happy Catalogue Launch Day

First day of winter here in Australia and there’s no better way to celebrate then to curl up with the brand new 2017-18 Annual Catalogue which launched today!!!

I’m pretty sure you would have seen the front cover and projects using the some of the items that were available to demonstrators.

Here is top 5 things I’m looking forward to trying

1. Embossing Paste – I have always wanted to try playing with mix media but never new where to start and now I will have a chance.

2. Hello Friend Heat Embossing Project Kit – In the last couple of months I have fell in love with heat embossing but this could project kit could expand my love of heat embossing even further.

3. Love Today All Inclusive Planner Kit – I have never been a planner person but if I was to get this kit I think I would want to attempt a photo a day project.

4. Eastern Palace Suite – This suite has already been available for preorder, which I am regretting not getting, especially after seeing all the beautiful things that other demos have created. My favourite item from this suite is the thinlits dies, you can make so many different combinations.

5. Pick a Pattern Suite – One of my favourite design concepts/looks is the offset look, which is the main design concept for the entire Annual Catalogue and this style is carried onto the suite.  My favourite items from this suite is a tie between the Designer Series Paper and the Paper Clips.

I hope you enjoy the new Annual Catalogue as much as I do!!

Until next time…

Happy Stampin’,
