Product Spotlight: Perennial Birthday Project Kit

One of my favourite things from any new catalogue are the project kits.  In this years Occasions Catalogue there are two new kits, one an All-Inclusive Card Kit and then this one the Perennial Birthday Project Kit.

This kit includes a beautiful box to put your 16 cards (4 cards in 4 designs) and 12 month dividers.

In this video below Holly from the Stampin’ Up! Home Office shows how easy this project kit is to put together.

Here are some close up shots of the cards.

I really loved putting this kit together it didn’t take long and the hardest part was tying the bows on all the cards.

Supplies Needed for this Kit:

  • Perennial Birthday Project Kit (145579)
  • Perennial Birthday Wood Mount Stamp Set (145757)
  • Perennial Birthday Clear Mount Stamp Set (145760)

Annual Catalogue 2017-2018, Challenge, Colour INKspiration, Occasions Catalogue 2018, Uncategorized

Today I am playing along with Colour InkSpiration Challenge.  This challenge really stumped me with the colour combination of Emerald Envy, Bermuda Bay, Tranquil Tide and Sahara Sand.  I eventually settled on using leaves with all the green.

Here is my card…

What I used:

  • Sahara Sand Card Stock
  • Vellum
  • Tranquil Tide Card Stock
  • Colourful Seasons Photopolymer Stamp Set
  • Perennial Birthday Clear Mount Stamp Set
  • Tranquil Tide Classic Stampin’ Pad
  • Emerald Envy Classic Stampin’ Pad
  • Bermuda Bay Classic Stampin’ Pad
  • 2″ Circle Punch
  • Everyday Label Punch
  • Bone Folder (I used the scoring knife from the Envelope Punch Board)

How I made this Card:

  • The card base is Sahara Sand sized at 210 x 148mm scored at 105mm;
  • Vellum piece is 134 x 98mm;
  • The other Sahara Sand piece is approximately cut to 125 x 90mm, I then tore the top and side edges.
  • On the card base I stamped the larger Maple Leaf from the Colourful Seasons stamp set.  Each leaf was stamped off first, I stamped down the left side and the bottom about 3 times in each colour.  Using Bermuda Bay, Emerald Envy and Tranquil Tide in that order.
  • Next I took the small Maple Leaf from the same stamp set and only stamped in Tranquil Tide.
  • Then I took the large outline of the Maple Leaf and stamped on top of each leaf on the card base.  I also stamped them on the other piece of Sahara Sand along the torn edge.  I took my bone folder and distressed the opposite corner.
  • I then stamped the sentiment from the Perennial Birthday Stamp Set onto a piece of Tranquil Tide and punched it out with the 2″ Circle Punch.  I took another piece of Sahara Sand and punched the Everyday Label Punch out with it.
  • I started to adhere everything, using Fast Fuse I adhered the Sahara Sand piece to the vellum. Then that to the card base.  Finally the sentiment is adhere to the Everyday Label piece with Stampin’ Dimensionals and Fast Fused it to the card.

I hope you like my card.

Until next time,

Happy Stampin’,

Colour Challenge – CYCI#148

So I am back to blogging and to kick it off I decided on the Can You Case It? Colour Challenge.  I used this as inspiration to make my Grandma’s birthday card.   17098700_10211646694578325_3645540853983100779_n

Yellow has never been a top pick in the colour department so it was a great challenge for me and as for turquoise well Bermuda Bay has always been one of my favourites.

Here is my card:

I used the Oh So Succulent Stamp Set.  The background is stamped on Shimmery White, in Bermuda Bay and Pool Party.

The Lace Doilies are from the Falling In Love Suite.  I inked this in Daffodil Delight, then Versamarked and Clear Embossed.

The circle on the doily is die cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelits.

Finally I cut the flowers with the Succulents Framelits Dies.

Until next time… Happy Stampin’,

Up & Away

I think this is one of my favourites from the new Occasions Catalogue and the matching DSP in the Sale-A-Bration catalogue.

This card was made for my Cousin who is off overseas in America for the next month… I wanted a card that quick and simple.  I instantly thought of the Lift Me Up Stamp Set and coordinating Up & Away Thinlits Dies.  This thinlits set has the detailed balloon plus the solid pieces to layer in the back to create filled in images.

I chose Real Red, Dapper Denim, Soft Sky and Whisper White.  I randomly stamped the bigger cloud from the Lift Me Up Stamp Set in Soft Sky to create the background.  I stamped the sentiment using the Labeler Alphabet Stamp Set in Dapper Denim.  I used Mini Glue Dots to attach the pieces of Real Red to the Dapper Denim balloon and then Tear & Tape to adhere the whole balloon to the card base.  I finished it off Pearls.

This card is great because you can just change the sentiment and the colours and it’ll be perfect for anyone.

Until next time… Happy Stampin’,
