I’m playing along with the Global-Design-Project’s Theme Challenge: Balloons.
Lately I have really been into gradient/ombré effect so I came up with one card which turned into two cards.
Last week I used a lot sale-a-bration products so this week I decided to use some of the Occasions Catalogue product specifically products in the It’s My Party suite.
My first card I used different shades of blue, specifically Pacific Point, Marina Mist and Tempting Turquoise.
I stamped the balloon from the Party Wishes Stamp Set tone on tone and punched them using the matching balloon punch from the Party Punch Pack.
Stuck them on with dimensionals added sentiment stamped and matted on Pacific Point and called this card done.
My second I decided to use a whole colour family, going with Brights.
I changed the colour on each row of balloons to have a natural gradation. I added in a sentiment in Melon Mambo and matted it using the Melon Mambo diagonal lines paper from the It’s My Party Designer Series Paper Stack.
If you would also like to play along with the Global-Design-Project Theme Challenge this week. You must enter by 3pm AEDT next Monday.
Until next time… Happy stamping,
I can’t believe Christmas is this Friday… Where has the time gone?
I have been meaning to make two cards all this week and finally got around to it at 10pm the night before this weeks Global Design Project challenge finishes… But it is first for me that I made a card and blogged about it on the same day.
I actually made two cards with this challenge in mind.
Here is the first card:
So this is for one of my family who birthday is three days after christmas. I have been dying to use the new It’s My Party Designer Series Paper and the Party Wishes Stamp Set. I also wanted to try the Envelope Punch Board Flower that was demonstrated on the Stampin’ Up! YouTube channel early last month. I added in the sentiment in the centre of the flower using Melon Mambo. I really like how it turned out. I added a banner in Sahara Sands behind it, added a cupcake stamp also using Sahara Sands Ink.
Here is the Second Card:
So this one I went a bit crazy with the envelope punch board flower. I think I used all the circle collection framelits except the smallest 2. The Designer Series Paper and Vellum is from the Winter Wonderland Suite. The snowflake in the middle of the flower is the negative from the Oh, What Fun Tag Kit and put a small circle of Gold Glimmer paper behind that. I also added on a Reindeer Paper Clip (this is the first time I am using it) and Gold Cording Trim.
Due to the size of the flower I didn’t want to add in another layered element so I stamped the sentiment straight on to the card. I lover how this turned out and I think I will be using the Envelope Punch Board to make more flowers.
Here is the Global Design Project inspiration:
Looking forward to next weeks challenge.
