The 100 Day Project: Days 1 – 10

I made it through the first 10 days of The 100 Day Project.  I have been really enjoying it.  Sometimes I create a totally new project or I use off cuts from another.

Day 1

This card uses Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist Ink.  Birthday Wit Stamp Set, Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper and some Whisper White Solid Baker’s Twine.

day 1

Day 2

This one I used Myths & Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Magical Day Stamp Set.  Berry Burst and Tangerine Tango Ink.  I cut the oval out with the Layering Oval Framelits Dies.

day 2

Day 3

This card uses the Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper Stack for the background and I cut out the party hats.  I used the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies, some Copper Metallic Thread.  I used Picture Perfect Birthday Stamp Set for the sentiment and punched it out with the Classic Label Punch.

day 3

Day 4

For the background I used the Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I already had the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies square of Very Vanilla Cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment twice from the Super Duper Stamp Set, one in Tranquil Tide and the other in Lemon Lime Twist.  And fussy cut the whole of the Tranquil Tide sentiment and then just the banner of the Lemon Lime Twist.

day 4

Day 5

I cheated a little for this one, because today was Onstage Local in Sydney and this was my team swap.  This card uses only Whisper White and Shimmery White.  The stamp set is Petal Palette.  I used Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist and Memento Inks.  Finally I coloured in my Whisper White Organza Ribbon with the Stampin’ Blends Light Pool Party Marker.

day 5

Day 6

The background piece is from the True Gentleman Designer Series Paper.  I stamped the sentiment on a mixture of Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake all with Emerald Envy Ink.  I punched out the sentiment with Classic Label Punch, Tailored Tag Punch and Duet Banner Punch.  I stamped three seperate moustache using the Emerald Envy and Dapper Denim Stampin’ Write Markers.

day 6

Day 7

On to the Crumb Cake Cardstock base I stamped the Burlap Background Stamp in Crumb Cake Ink.  I stamped the outline part of the sentiment with Berry Burst and punched it out with the Pretty Label Punch.  I stamped the sentiment with Crumb Cake Ink and cut it out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.  Underneath the sentiment I adhered some Copper Metallics Thread.

day 7

Day 8

With the retirement list coming out I decided to use some of my stamp sets that had unfortunately were at the back of my basket of stamp sets and are now retiring.  This card uses the some Picture Perfect Party Designer Series Paper Stack.  I used Sprinkles of Life and the Tree Builder Punch to stamp the sentiment and stamp and punch the cupcake top.  I fussy cut the cupcake bottom.  I used Real Red and Memento Ink.  I placed the cupcake on piece of Basic Black Cardstock that was punched with the Everyday Label Punch.  Which was placed on top of some Whisper White Solid Baker’s Twine.

day 8

Day 9

Today I wanted to create an easy card.  The card base is from the Perfect Days Memories & More Card Pack.  The sentiment and what it’s stamped on is from the Lots of Happy Card Kit.  I stamped the sentiment in Emerald Envy.  Underneath the sentiment I layered some Whisper White Organza Ribbon.

day 9

Day 10

This final card uses the Colour Theory Designer Series Paper which I had cut into strips and layered them on the card.  The sentiment is from the Colourful Seasons Stamp Set, I stamped it in Old Olive ink and punched out with the Starburst Punch.  I used a touch of Old Olive Mini Chevron Ribbon.

day 10

I hope you are enjoying seeing all my 100 Day Project posts over on my Instagram throughout the week.

Until next time… Happy Stampin’,

Lauren

Just Add Ink 401: Sketch Challenge

Today I played along with the Just Add Ink’s Sketch Challenge.

2523401

Since this is the last week of Sale-A-Bration I have been trying to focus on these products.  In this card I have used three SAB products.  I took inspiration for the palette from the flowers, from the Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper, that I had coloured in using Stampin’ Blends the other day.

The colour palette I used for this card is Pink Pirouette, Rich Razzleberry and Basic Gray.

Gather your supplies:

2018030a

Putting the card together:

  • Card Base: Rich Razzleberry Cardstock cut to 8-1/4″ x 5-7/8″; scored at 4-1/8″.
  • I took a second piece of Rich Razzleberry Cardstock sized to 4″ x 2-1/2″.  Then I used the Basket Weave Embossing Folder, from the Blossoming Basket Bundle, to emboss the piece of Rich Razzleberry.
  • I took a piece of Pink Pirouette Cardstock sized to 5″ x 3″.  I used a Bone Folder distress the corners, then separated the corners.  I also scrunched the cardstock to make it look extra distressed.
  • I took a piece of Petal Garden Designer Series Paper Stack sized to 4-1/2″ x 2-1/2″.
  • For the flowers I coloured in the two flowers one with the Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends Marker Combo and the other with Rich Razzleberry Light Stampin’ Blends Marker and Pink Pirouette Dark Stampin’ Blends Marker.  When I was finished colouring I fussy cut the flowers out.
  • I adhered down the Rich Razzleberry piece with Fast Fuse Adhesive but, before I stuck it down I passed the Basic Gray ribbon from the Shimmer Ribbon Pack underneath to tie later.
  • I adhered the Pink Pirouette and Petal Garden pieces down with more Fast Fuse.
  • I punched out a Starburst piece of Whisper White Cardstock and adhered it with Fast Fuse.  I finished tying the ribbon.
  • Finally I adhered the top flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the bottom flower with Fast Fuse.

I’m glad the Basket Weave Embossing Folder is going to be available in the Annual Catalogue coming in June.

And also the Stampin’ Blends have been unfortunately made unavailable until the end of May due to supply issues.

Until next time… Happy Stampin’,

Lauren

Just Add Ink 400: Inspiration

Today I played along with Just Add Ink Challenge 400 using the below image as inspiration.
2523400

I used the photo to inspire the colour palette.  And I really love this colour palette and anyone who knows me, knows that I am definitely not one for yellow.

Gather your supplies:

2018025a

Putting the card together:

  • Card base from the Tutti-Frutti Cards & Envelopes, the Daffodil Delight version.
  • I coloured in one of the flowers with Pool Party Stampin’ Blends, then fussy cut it out with paper snips.
  • I then punched out from Pool Party Cardstock with the Starburst Punch and Whisper White Cardstock with the 2″ Circle Punch.  I adhered these two together with Fast Fuse Adhesive.
  • Whisper White piece is cut to 5″ x 3-3/4″.
  • I used the Pool Party and Whisper White punched circles as a guide to stamp the lined stamp from the Eclectic Expressions Stamp Set.  I stamped in Wisteria Wonder, Blushing Bride and So Saffron.
  • I then stamped the “Thank You” stamp from the same stamp set in Pool Party.
  • I took my Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Marker from the Neutrals Stampin’ Write Maker Set and spritzed it across the Whisper White piece.
  • I then adhered the Whisper White piece and the Pool Party Starburst punched piece  to the card base with Fast Fuse Adhesive.  I adhered the flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • I finally took the sentiment and line stamp to stamp on to the envelope with So Saffron ink.

I hope you liked my card. I am so happy with how it turned out.

Until next time… Happy Stampin’,

Lauren

It’s a Magical Day Mermaid

After I made the knight and dragon cards that I posted a couple of days ago I wanted to create a card using the cute mermaid from the Magical Day Stamp Set.

On this card used the mirroring technique to get the mermaid’s to face each other.

Gather your supplies:

2018017a

Putting the card together:

  • Card base: Pool Party yardstick cut to 8-1/4″ x 5-3/4″, scored at 4-1/8″.
  • I created the banner by taking the piece of Bubble & Fizz Designer Series Paper cut to 5″ x 2″ and using the Banner Triple Punch to create the fishtail.
  • I stamped the mermaids with Memento Ink Pad, two mermaids on to a piece of Thick Whisper White Cardstock two in the right direction and the other two I stamped on to the Silicone Craft Sheet then pressed the Thick Whisper White on to the craft sheet, to create the mirror image.  I also stamped the seahorse.
  • I used Stampin’ Blends to colour in the mermaids and seahorse.  I then fussy cut two whole mermaids, two mermaid bodies and the seahorse.
  • I then cut out the largest square from the Stitched Shapes Framelits and a scalloped square, that is one size larger, from the Layering Squares Framelits out of Thick Whisper White.
  • I ran my Pool Party Dark Stampin’ Blends Marker along the edge of the scalloped square.  I also coloured in the middle of the Stitched Shapes square with Pool Party Dark Stampin’ Blend and also used the Colour Lifter to lighten up the colour.  I used the same technique to fill in the space of the mermaids (where the head and tail touch).  I stamped a second seahorse on to the Stitched Shape square.
  • I took the Pool Party Light Stampin’ Blends Markers to colour in the Whisper White Organza Ribbon.
  • I stamped the sentiment in Pool Party ink from Picture Perfect Birthday Stamp Set on to Thick Whisper White Cardstock, then punched it with the Classic Label Punch.
  • I adhered the banner to the card base and ribbon with Fast Fuse Adhesive. I adhere the two squares together with Fast Fuse and attached them to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I used Fast Fuse to adhere the whole mermaids to the mermaid bodies, and the Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the mermaids and seahorse to the card.
  • When I went to attach the sentiment I realised it would hang over the edge of the card too much I decided to cut it in half and adhered it with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I love how sweet these mermaids are.  And the whole stamp set is so cute.

Until next time… Happy Stampin’,

Lauren

Petal Passion CASE

I made this card for CASEing the Catty Challenge a couple of weeks ago when the challenge was CASEing the Petal Passion Pages in the Occasions Catalogue but instead chose to create another project the one that I did post.

Gather your supplies:

2018019a

How I made this card:

  • Card base: Pool Party from the Tutti-Frutti Cards & Envelopes.
  • I randomly stamped the different stamps from the Beautiful Peacock Stamp Set in Memento, Old Olive and Pool Party inks.
  • I took a piece of Whisper White that was the same width as the card base and embossed it using the Petal Pair Embossing Folder.  Then tore off the edges.
  • I wrapped the Whisper White Organza Ribbon around the card base twice.
  • I stamp the sentiment from the same stamp set in Memento.  I had to mask part of the sentiment to be able to stamp it over two lines.  I then punched out the sentiment with the Everyday Label Punch.  I punched a second Everyday Label in Basic Black Cardstock.
  • I then started to adhere everything down, the Whisper White Embossed piece and the Basic Black Everyday Label Punch piece with Fast Fuse.  I adhered sentiment piece over the top of the Basic Black piece with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • I coloured in the pearl on the Petal Passion Embellishment with the Pool Party Dark Stamin’ Blends Marker.  Then adhered it to the card with Mini Glue Dots.
  • Finally I used the same Petal Pair Embossing fold to on the envelope by applying Pool Party Ink to the embossing folder and pressing it on to the envelope.

I hope you like my card today…

And until next time… Happy Stampin’,

Petal Passion Birthday

A couple of Friday Nights ago I had a wild night of colouring using my Stampin’ Blends.  I coloured in the Petal Passion Designers Series Paper page.

Then I decided to make a card with it.

How I made this Card:

  • A6 Card Base of Whisper White
  • I cut a piece of the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper, that I had previously coloured with my Stampin’ Blends, sized to 138 x 105mm.
  • Then I cut a piece of Vellum Cardstock to 115 x 95mm , which I then stamped the lines looking stamp from the Eclectic Expression Stamp Set.
  • Then I used the Stitched Shapes second largest square to make the rectangle which approximately is 3 x 2 1/8in. I then stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad.
  • To finish off the sentiment piece I stamped the paint splotch looking stamp in Pink Pirouette, Rich Razzleberry and Pool Party.
  • Finally I adhered it all together, the dsp and vellum with Fast Fuse and the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensions.

CTC168 – Petal Passion

Today I played along with CASEing the Catty Challenge, caseing pages from the Petal Passion Suite of the Occasions Catalogue.

I chose the clipboard project from page 22, I adapted it to make it card size.

2018016a

Products Used:

2018016b

How I made this card:

  • I chose the card base from the Tutti-Frutti Cards & Envelopes pack.
  • I took the sheet of 12″ x 12″ from the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper 5 1/16″ x 4″.
  • Using the Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blends Marker I  coloured in the background.  Then I took the Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Markers Combo Pack and coloured in the flower and the leaves.  Finally I used the Color Lifter Stampin’ Blends Marker to highlight the flower.
  • I cut a piece of Basic Black A4 Cardstock to 3 3/4″ x 1″, then used the Banner Triple Punch to cut the banner at each end.  Finally I used the Basket Weaver Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, found in the Blossoming Basket Clear or Wood Mount Bundles, to emboss the banner.
  • I cut out from a piece of Whisper White A4 Cardstock the flower die cut piece using the Petals & More Thinlits Dies.
  • I coloured a piece of the Whisper White 1/4″ Organza Ribbon with the Dark Pool Party Stampin’ Blends Marker.
  • I stamped the sentiment onto one of the stickers found in the Petal Passion Memories & More Card Pack, using the Petal Palette Clear or Wood Mount Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad.
  • I adhered the DSP piece, flower die cut and the banner all to the card base using Fast Fuse Adhesive. Finally I took the piece of ribbon I stuck to the back of the sticker, and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop up the sticker.

Hope you liked my CASE.
