Christmas Stamp a Stack Idea

Can you believe it’s only 10 days until Christmas??!!

Well if you’re needing an idea to make a lot of cards quickly here’s a stamp a stack idea.

lm16-cc006

How I made this card?

  • On piece of Whisper White Card Stock (A4, 8.5 x 11 or 12 x 12), using the Christmas Pines Stamp Set to stamp the branches, the thicker branch stamp is in Mint Macaron, the thinner branch is VersaMark then Emerald Envy Glitter Embossing Powder.  I stamped them randomly to cover the page.
  • I cut the stamped page into 3.5 in strips x  148mm (to match the half fold of my card base)
  • I cut another piece of whisper white to matte my card (148 x 105mm), I adhered this to the piece stamped with the branches with Tear & Tape
  • I used the Layering Circles Framelits Dies to cut the neckline of the whisper white pieces, I also embossed the pieces with the Cable Knit Embossing Folder
  • Card Base is Thick Whisper White Card Stock A6 (297 x 105mm scored at 148mm)
  • I adhered the embossed piece to the card base
  • The sentiment is from the Stitched with Cheer Stamp Set Emerald Envy, the banner is a separate 1in strip adhered together a Stampin’ Dimensional

I hope this gives you a helpful idea to get through your last minute Christmas card making.

Until next time… Happy Stampin,

Lauren

How I made this card?

  • Card base, Thick Whisper White Cardstock (210 x 148mm, Scored at 2.5in from either end)
  • The scalloped neckline is Smoky Slate cut with largest scalloped die from the Layering Circle Framelits Dies
  • The white neckline is Whisper White cut using two largest circles from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies
  • Using the second largest circle from the Stitched Shapes cut the neckline on the card base placed in the middle at the top, cutting through all three layers
  • Using the Cable Knit Embossing Folder, emboss both 2.5in sections
  • Adhere the scalloped and stitched pieces for the neckline using Tear & Tape
  • Finally I attached the Elegant Eggplant Enamel Shapes from the Regals Collection.

#gdp064 – Winter Wonderland

Winter Wonderland, well I can only dream… as we are in for a hot Aussie summer Christmas.

My card today is to play along with the Global-Design-Project and Case the Designer, Connie Collins.

Here is my card:

LM16-CC003.jpg

I took inspiration from Connie’s card with the placement of the sentiment, the shape of the background image and the use of Marina Mist.

The colours I used were Emerald Envy, Marina Mist, Soft Sky and Mint Macaron. The stamp sets I used were Christmas Pines and Labeler Alphabet.

How I made this card?

  • Thick Whisper White card base (210 x 148mm, scored at 105mm)
  • Emerald Envy piece is 143 x 100mm
  • Background is watercolour paper cut to 138 x 95mm
  • The background is stamped with the snowflakes stamp from Christmas Pines using Versamark and White Embossing Powder, then I sponged Soft Sky and then Marina Mist over top trying to focus the colour where I had stamped
  • For the sentiment I used the bottle tag from the Cheerful Tags Framelits Dies, in Whisper White, folding it over the watercolour paper piece
  • On a separate piece of Whisper White I cut out the second smallest circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies
  • On the circle I stamped my sentiment using the Labeler Alphabet Stamp Set in Mint Macaron, I know it looks grey but that’s because I didn’t clean my the stamps properly but I like it, I think it works…
  • I added a piece of Emerald Envy Ribbon through the tag wholes
  • Finally I adhered everything using Glue Dots, Snail Adhesive and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I hope everyone is enjoying the festive season wherever you are.

Until next time… Happy stampin’,

Lauren

lm16-cc001b

How I made this card:

  • Blushing Bride card stock base cut to A5 (210 x 148mm scored at 105mm)
  • Using the Christmas Pines stamp set I stamped the first layer of branches in Blushing Bride and over the top with the thinner looking branch stamp with Whisper White Craft.
  • I used all the branch die cuts from the Pretty Pines Thinlit Dies and cut out 2 small, 2 medium and 1 large in Mint Macaron card stock.
  • The large bow die cut in Rich Razzleberry card stock.
  • I adhered all the die cut pieces down using Glue Dots.  Then I attached a Pearl to the centre of the bow.
  • Finally I stamped the sentiment in the Rich Razzleberry and added some Clear Wink of Stella to the Comfort.

If you would also like to play along with the Global Design Project’s Colour Challenge you have until Monday at 3pm AEDT.

Until next time… Happy stamping,
