Penned & Painted, Blooms & Bliss #GDP068

Here is my second card from my New Catalogue Sneak Peek Post…  This card I played along with the Global Design Project’s Case the Designer Challenge, this weeks designer is Jess Williams.

Here is the challenge:

Here is my card:

How I made this card?

  • A6 Thick Whisper White Cardstock (297x105mm scored 148mm)
  • Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper 148x90mm
  • Used the hexagon details from the Window Box Thinlits Dies, I aligned the flat sides with the top and side edge of the DSP
  • I took the Emerald Envy Taffeta Ribbon, from the new Party Animal Suite, and wrapped it around card twice and tied a bow.
  • I adhered the DSP with Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • On Whisper White Cardstock I stamped the flower and outline from the Penned & Painted Stamp Set in Sweet Sugarplum and Rich Razzleberry
  • Then the leaves and outline in Mint Macaron and Emerald Envy
  • I fussy cut flower and leaves and flower out separately, and adhered those with Tear & Tape

Here is a close up of that detailed die from the new Window Box Thinlits Dies…

Until next time… Happy Stampin’

#GDP065 – Colour Challenge

When I saw this challenge I instantly thought of the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper because I knew it had Real Red in the design.

So here is the challenge:

Here is my card:

How I made this card?

  • Card base is Thick Whisper White Card (210 x 148mm scored at 105mm)
  • I used the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies – the smallest square to cut out 8 squares from the Candy Cane Lane DSP
  • I adhered them together with Tear & Tape and then Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the whole piece to the card base
  • My sentiment is from Christmas Pines, I inked up the sentiment with Real Red, Early Espresso and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Markers.
  • I finished it off with Clear Wink of Stellar on some of the DSP design and on some of the sentiment.

Until next time… Happy Stampin’

#gdp064 – Winter Wonderland

Winter Wonderland, well I can only dream… as we are in for a hot Aussie summer Christmas.

My card today is to play along with the Global-Design-Project and Case the Designer, Connie Collins.

Here is my card:

I took inspiration from Connie’s card with the placement of the sentiment, the shape of the background image and the use of Marina Mist.

The colours I used were Emerald Envy, Marina Mist, Soft Sky and Mint Macaron. The stamp sets I used were Christmas Pines and Labeler Alphabet.

How I made this card?

  • Thick Whisper White card base (210 x 148mm, scored at 105mm)
  • Emerald Envy piece is 143 x 100mm
  • Background is watercolour paper cut to 138 x 95mm
  • The background is stamped with the snowflakes stamp from Christmas Pines using Versamark and White Embossing Powder, then I sponged Soft Sky and then Marina Mist over top trying to focus the colour where I had stamped
  • For the sentiment I used the bottle tag from the Cheerful Tags Framelits Dies, in Whisper White, folding it over the watercolour paper piece
  • On a separate piece of Whisper White I cut out the second smallest circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies
  • On the circle I stamped my sentiment using the Labeler Alphabet Stamp Set in Mint Macaron, I know it looks grey but that’s because I didn’t clean my the stamps properly but I like it, I think it works…
  • I added a piece of Emerald Envy Ribbon through the tag wholes
  • Finally I adhered everything using Glue Dots, Snail Adhesive and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I hope everyone is enjoying the festive season wherever you are.

Until next time… Happy stampin’,

GDP#061 // Colour Challenge

After the excitement that was Onstage Live I wanted to get into playing with the new stamp sets that were gifted to us during the event as well as the items that were apart of the PPP.  But unfortunately my BBB will be having a weekend stay at the mail centre. Boo!!

Anyway lets get onto the card which I made for this Global Design Project Colour Challenge.  Using Basic Black, Emerald Envy and Sweet Sugarplum.

Here is my card:

I took inspiration from the guest designer Juana Ambida’s layout.  I used the brand new stamp set Birthday Bright from the new Occasions Catalogue coming in January 2017.

There are some great sentiments and ribbon looking stamps.  They also have a balloon stamp with two different fill in stamp sets to decorate the balloon with.

I can’t wait to show you more cards using this stamp set and other stamp sets from the new Occasions Catalogue and Sale-A-Bration Catalogues.

Until next time… Happy Stamping,

#GDP060 – Case the Designer

This week I played along with the Global Design Project and their Case the Designer Challenge, Caseing Brian King’s card.

Here is the challenge card:

I really liked the layout of Brian’s Card so that’s what I focused on when I created my card.

Here is my card:

My colour scheme used Wisteria Wonder, Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper and Whisper White.  I used the Perpetual Birthday Calendar and the Number of Years Photopolymer Stamp Set and the Large Number and  the Layering Circles Framelits Dies.

How I made this Card:

  • The card base is Thick Whisper White Cardstock A6 (210 x 148mm scored at 105mm);
  • Wisteria Wonder cut to 144 x 100mm;
  • I cut a circle into the centre of the Wisteria Wonder piece using the Circle frame lit that’s approx. 5.5cm;
  • Then I randomly stamped the hearts from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar in Wisteria Wonder and over the top in Whisper White Craft;
  • I stamped the Happy Anniversary from the Number of Years Stamp Set in Wisteria Wonder onto the Whisper White Piece that is 118 x 75mm;
  • I cut the numbers out with Large Numbers Framelits Dies out of the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper, I adhered the numbers using Glue Dots onto that original circle that was cut out;
  • I used snail to attach the Wisteria Wonder piece, Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the Whisper White piece and finally the Wisteria Wonder circle adhered with snail.

I hope you enjoyed this quick and easy card.

Until next time… Happy Stamping,

#GDP057 – It’s a Blushing Bride Christmas

So this week I played along with the Global Design Project’s Colour Challenge.  So here is the challenge:

I used took the opportunity to use the stamp set and dies from the Presents & Pinecones Suite.

And here is my entry:

And here is a closeup where I have added some Clear Wink of Stella:

How I made this card:

  • Blushing Bride card stock base cut to A5 (210 x 148mm scored at 105mm)
  • Using the Christmas Pines stamp set I stamped the first layer of branches in Blushing Bride and over the top with the thinner looking branch stamp with Whisper White Craft.
  • I used all the branch die cuts from the Pretty Pines Thinlit Dies and cut out 2 small, 2 medium and 1 large in Mint Macaron card stock.
  • The large bow die cut in Rich Razzleberry card stock.
  • I adhered all the die cut pieces down using Glue Dots.  Then I attached a Pearl to the centre of the bow.
  • Finally I stamped the sentiment in the Rich Razzleberry and added some Clear Wink of Stella to the Comfort.

If you would also like to play along with the Global Design Project’s Colour Challenge you have until Monday at 3pm AEDT.

Until next time… Happy stamping,

#GDP028 Enjoy the His and Hers…

Today I am playing along with the Global Design Project which is a Case the Designer challenge this week.

I love trying to create the same card using the exact same products and just change the colours to create his and her cards. LM16-BC016a.jpg

My Cards: For the background I used step 2 from the What I Love Stamp Set, which is brilliant to use as a background stamp.  I stamped on to the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Vellum Stack with the ‘Enjoy the Little Things’ sentiment from the Enjoy the Little Things Stamp Set using Jet Black Stazon.  I layered the piece of vellum on top of a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and stuck them together with a piece of the Metallics Glitter Tape on either side.  The His Card uses Island Indigo and Silver and the Hers Card uses Rose Red and Gold.

His Card:

Hers Card:

I am really going to miss all these Sale-A-Bration products when they retire on Thursday 31st March.

I stuck everything down with Tear & Tape Adhesive purely because my snail was out of reach and I was feeling lazy. haha.

If you wanted to play along with the Global Design Project and try and Case the Designer: Jessica Williams.  You must enter by 3pm AEDT on Monday.  Just click the picture below to be taken to the Global Design Project website.
