I’m back with another CASEing the Catty blog hop, week we are once again CASEing our favourite retiring bundles. If you’re starting here, or joining me from Siobhan’s blog, Welcome!
Today I am featuring the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set and the coordinating Springtime Impressions Dies, for this Mother’s Day Card I made for my Grandma. Lately I have been using a lot of Very Vanilla Cardstock because I had some time on my hands and cut down a whole pack of cardstock that will be on hand for quite a while.
For my card, I took a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock (5-1/4” x 3-5/8”), I stamped a row of grass at the bottom of in stamped off Old Olive ink, then took the second step, stamping in full strength Old Olive ink. Then I stamped the flowers in stamped off Crushed Curry ink, and the second step in full strength Crushed Curry ink.
I then embossed the piece with Subtle Embossing Folder. I also die cut the butterfly from the Springtime Impressions Dies from a piece of Crushed Curry Cardstock. I also stamped the sentiment from the Dressed to Impress Stamp Set in Crushed Curry Ink, punched it out with the Classic Label Punch.
I started putting the card together, I took a piece of Very Vanilla (5-3/4” x 8-1/4”; scored: 4-1/8”). I adhered a piece of Crushed Curry Cardstock (5-1/2” then torn to make it approximately a square; I have had this piece of cardstock sitting on my desk for weeks so I’m glad to have finely used it) with Stampin’ Dimesionals. I tied a piece of Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim around the torn edge. I adhered the other piece of Very Vanilla with Tear & Tape Adhesive and Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finally, I adhered the butterfly and the sentiment with Tear & Tape Adhesive.
