I’m back this time hopping with Social Stamping, a brand new blog hop started by the very talented Kelly Kent, as a way to connect during these times of self-isolation and social distancing. The theme for our very first hop is “Hello”. So if you’re starting here, or joining me from Lisa Whitehead, Welcome!!
For this week I have decided to go with three cards, each aimed at the different levels of crafter, beginner, casual and avid. I have products from the Sale-A-Bration mini catalogue, which sadly ending on 31 March.
I have used the three sheets of the Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper, that features the large flowers, colouring half of each sheet with Stampin’ Blends and the other with watercoloring with an Aqua Painter. The flowers are coloured in Highland Heather, Poppy Parade and Daffodil Delight, with Granny Apple Green leaves.
For the Beginner:
I used a Whisper White card base (8-1/4″ x 5-3/4″; scored: 4-1/8″). I layered a piece of Poppy Parade Cardstock (3-3/8″ x 5″) with the piece of DSP, on the Stampin’ Blends side (3-1/8″ x 4-3/4″). Adhering together with Tear & Tape and onto the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Then I layered on a strip of Whisper White Cardstock, with the sentiment from Tags in Bloom, stamped in Poppy Parade ink. Adhered with Tear & Tape.
For the Casual:
I used the middle section of the DSP where there is half and half of watercolour and Stampin’ Blends. I again used a Whisper White Card base. I stamped the sentiment and the boarder in Memento ink on the Daffodil Delight layer, punching out with the Label Me Lovely Punch.
I tied a piece of Crinkled Seam Binding around the DSP layer, then adhered it to the Daffodil Delight piece with Tear & Tape, and onto the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I also adhered the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals, as well.
For the Avid:
I have used a completely Watercoloured section of the DSP for this card. I started with a Highland Heather card base, and second layer of Highland Heather. The second layer I embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder. I adhered it to the card base with Tear & Tape. The DSP is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stamped the border and sentiment in Highland Heather ink, onto separate piece of Highland Heather, (I tried stamping onto the embossed piece but I just couldn’t get it right today, Haha). I punched out the sentiment with the Label Me Lovely Punch. I adhered a piece of Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon to the card front with Tear & Tape, and the sentiment over the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
