CTC262: CASE the Koala Sketch, page 34 – Week 2

I’m back with another CASEing the Catty blog hop, this is week 2 of CASEing the Koala card found on page 34.  If your starting here, or joining me from Judy’s blog, Welcome!

For my card, I once again used the sketch in a portrait orientation.  I made two of these cards for my two that are both turning 60 in the next couple of weeks, so I knew that I wanted to use the Outdoor Barbecue Stamp Set and the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder.

So I started off by preparing my card base, using Whisper White Cardstock (5-3/4” x 21cm) and a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock (5-1/4” x 3-5/8”).  The Crumb Cake is embossed using the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder.  To highlight some of the bricks, I used an Aqua Painter and the Stampin’ Craft Pad, dipping the brush into the ink pad and brushing it over the raised bricks.  I adhered this to the card base with Tear & Tape Adhesive.

I stamped a burger and corn in Memento and used the Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends Combo to colour them in.  I also stamped the sentiment in Memento, I also stamped the ’60th’ from the Family Party Stamp Set in Coastal Cabana ink.  I fussy cut out the burger, corn and the sentiment, with paper snips and the ‘60th’ with the 1-1/2” Circle Punch.

I punched three of the Timeless Labels from Whisper White Cardstock, adhering them to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Finally, I adhered the the barbecue elements and sentiment with Tear & Tape to the labels.

Thanks for stopping by, next up is Monique Fielder.

I hope we have inspired you to CASE projects from the Occasions Catalogue. So, please join us over on our Facebook Group.

Until next time… Happy Stampin’,

Lauren
