CTC240: Everyday Occasions page 12-71

I’m back with another CASEing the Catty blog hop. This week we are CASEing projects found in the Everyday Occasions Section of the Annual Catalogue, page 12 – 71. And as always if your starting here or joining me from Shannon’s Blog, WELCOME!

No photo description available.

I took inspiration for my card from the card on page page 22 featuring the Daisy Lane Stamp Set, I just loved the watercoloured background.

I started off my card, with a piece of Watercolour Paper, inking up the tile stamp in Terracotta Tile ink, then spritz with water and stamping in a grid pattern (it was a total fluke that I spaced out the stamp correctly). I then repeated this step in Pretty Peacock ink, filling in the spaces. I dried off the piece of watercolour paper where needed with my Heat Tool. Then I went and re-stamped all the tiles in straight ink in either Terracotta Tile and Pretty Peacock ink.

Then I took a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and stamped the vase and flowers in Memento ink. Colouring the image in with the Dark Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends Marker, Old Olive and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Combo Markers. Then I fussy cut out the flowers and jar with Paper Snips. I tied a piece of Denim Ribbon around the neck of the vase and tied with a knot.

I stamped the sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink and punched it out with the Timeless Label Punch. I distressed the corners then adhered the piece of Watercolour Paper to Terracotta Tile card base with Tear & Tape Adhesive. I adhered the sentiment and vase together with Tear & Tape Adhesive and onto a piece of Vellum Cardstock with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then I adhered the piece of Vellum to the card front with Tear & Tape Adhesive.

Thanks for stopping by, next up is Rebecca Scurr.

I hope we have inspired you to CASE projects from the Occasions Catalogue. So, please join us over on our Facebook Group.

Until next time… Happy Stampin’,

Your background is so nice and evenly spaced, great work, and covering with vellum works so well to still allow all that detail to come through. Greqt CASE Lauren.

  2. What an awesome technique for the background – I love that effect. And I am super impressed by your precision stamping. I love the denim ribbon tied around the vase, it’s the perfect finishing touch. 🙂 Siobhan.

Great CASE, I love the strong colours on the background, but also the layer of vellum to soften them. Beautiful colouring too.
