CTC235 – CASE the Card on page 159

Welcome back to another CASEing the CATTY. If you’re starting here or joining me from Shannon Kissane, WELCOME!! This week, we are CASEing all the same project from page 159 of the Annual Catalogue. This card, features the Crafting Forever Stamp Set. For me, I used the It Starts with Art Stamp Set.

No photo description available.

For my card, I recreated the DSP using the dark Stampin’ Blends Markers in each colour of Highland Heather, Night of Navy and Pool Party. I simply draw lines across a piece of Whisper White Cardstock alternating the colours. I died one side of the piece with the cross stitch from the Stitched Labels Dies.

On to a separate piece of Thick Whisper White Cardstock I stamped the three pens in Memento ink, then I coloured in the Stampin’ Write Marker with the Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends Combo Markers. Then I fussy cut it out with Paper Snips.

On to another piece of Whisper White Cardstock, I stamped the sentiment in Highland Heather ink. Then I used the Highland Heather Stampin’ Write Marker, from the Subtles Collection, to drawer a border around the edges. I also used the marker to drawer a swirl at the end of the ‘T’ on the sentiment. I punched a hole near the top left corner with the paper piercing end of the Take Your Pick Tool. Then I threaded thru a piece Braided Linen Trim, and tied it with a knot.

I adhered the fussy cut marker to the sentiment piece with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then I adhere the sentiment piece to the Stampin’ Blends piece with more Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finally, I adhere the Stampin’ Blends piece to Pool Party card base with Tear & Tape Adhesive.

Thanks for stopping by, next up is Monique Fielder.

  1. OH I love your hand drawn border and swirls. And I wish I could stay up late and craft rather than stay up late and work….. lovely bright and fresh card Lauren, you’re inspiring me!!

  2. Even though you’ve kept pretty close to the sketch, I love how the card gets a totally different feel due to the colours, stamp set etc that you have used. I love how you have hand drawn the border, it looks great!
