CTC223: Classic Garage Pages

I’m back for another wonderful CASEing the Catty Design Team blog hop… This week we are CASEing projects from the Classic Garage pages of the Occasions Catalogue. So if you’re starting here or joining me from Kelly Kent, welcome!!

No photo description available.

This week, I decided to CASE this card from page 48. I loved how they have created all the layering and the use of the laser-cut paper.

I decided to feature the 2017-2019 In Colors Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist. And the Stitched All Around Clear Mount Bundle.

I started off my card with a piece of Berry Burst Cardstock, adhering a piece of Delightfully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper to the card front, Whisper White side up, with Multipurpose-Liquid Glue.

I stamped the sentiment (from Stitched All Around Stamp Set) in Lemon Lime Twist ink, onto a piece of Whisper White Cardstock. Then die cut out with the Stitched Labels Framelits. I took a strip of the woodgrain effect paper from the Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper, punching each separately with the Everyday Label Punch. Then I stamped the two different flowers and some leaves (from Pop of Petals Stamp Set) in Memento ink, colouring each flower with the Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends Combo Markers and the leaves with the Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends Combo Markers.

I adhered the Everyday Label strip to a strip of the lace vellum, also from the Floral Romance Specialty Designer Paper. Then I adhered this piece to regular piece of Vellum. To the back of the sentiment piece, adhere a piece of Lemon Lime Twist Mini Ruffled Ribbon and Copper Metallic Thread with Tear & Tape Adhesive.

Adhere the sentiment to the piece of Vellum with Stampin’ Dimensionals at the bottom. Punch out a set of butterflies with the Duet Butterfly Punch from a piece of Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock. Slip the larger butterfly underneath of the Sentiment piece, adhering with Multipurpose Liquid Glue, adhere the other butterfly to the top of the sentiment with the same glue. Finally adhere the vellum to the card front also with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

This is the last stop on the hop, but if you joined in the middle of the hop there is still more to see, next up is Shannon Kissane.

I hope we have inspired you to CASE projects from the Occasions Catalogue. So, please join us over on our Facebook Group.

Until next time… Happy Stampin’,

Lauren
