I’m back for another wonderful CASEing the Catty Design Team blog hop… This week we are CASEing projects from the Needlepoint Nook pages of the Occasions Catalogue. So if you’re starting here or joining me from Monique Fielder, welcome!!
This week, I decided to CASE this card from page 40. I loved how the Florentine Filigree Bundle has been so beautifully showcased in the Occasions Catalogue. So I decided to recreate the card making it look rustic.
I also CASEd the colour combo, just swapping the Gold Foil for Copper.
I started off my card with by die cutting the Florentine Thinlit from a piece of Petal Pink Cardstock. I used this as a guide to line up and stamp on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, mounting the two different stamps onto each of the Stamparatus plates, then I am able to step down on the Stamparatus with the mounted stamps. I stamped the larger filigree in Petal Pink ink and the smaller filigree in Powder Pink ink. Before stamping onto the cardstock, I used a Sponge Dauber to soften the ink.
Then I adhered the Whisper White piece to a Tranquil Tide card base with Tear & Tape Adhesive. Taking the Florentine die cut I tore off the frame, adhering it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Then I stamped the circle stamp from the same stamp set. Once in Soft Sea Foam ink and another in stamped off Tranquil Tide ink. Then I die cut out the inner part of the Soft Sea Foam circle with the second smallest Stitched Shapes Framelits circle and then the Tranquil Tide circle with the second largest Stitched Shapes Circle. I also die cut out the largest Stitched Shapes Circle from a piece of Copper Foil Sheet.
I cut off the bottom third of each of the circles. Then adhered the two largest circles with Tear & Tape Adhesive and the final circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finally I adhered a piece of the excess from the Florentine die cut piece with Tear & Tape Adhesive. I stamped the sentiment in Tranquil Tide ink, cut it down to size and adhere it with Tear & Tape Adhesive and Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finally, I attached the Tranquil Tide Pearls from the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls, in the centre of all the large filigrees.
Thanks for stopping by, this is the end of the hop, or if you started mid way thru, next up is Siobhan Fitzsimmons.
I hope we have inspired you to CASE projects from the Occasions Catalogue. So, please join us over on our Facebook Group.
Until next time… Happy Stampin’,
Lauren

Love the way the filigree doesn’t cover all of the front Panel! What a stunning case.

So pretty. This has a real Art Deco feel to it. The copper foil stitched circle really makes the whole thing sing.
