I’m back for another wonderful CASEing the Catty Design Team blog hop… This week we are once again CASEing projects from the Sale-A-Bration Mini or the SAB 2nd Release brochure. So if you’re starting here or joining me from Elizabeth Gross, welcome!!
This week, I decided to CASE this card from page 17 of the original SAB Mini. I loved how the card on the right has the flower outline stamped on the background of the Delightfully Detailed Note Cards & Envelopes.
So I decided to create two cards with this same technique, using both the watercolour effect card bases. For my flowers I used the Lovely Lattice Stamp Set and the sentiment is from Birthday Banners Stamp Set.
I started off my cards by stamping the large flowers in Rich Razzleberry and Mint Macaron inks. I stamped an extra set of flowers in each colour onto a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock. For the Rich Razzleberry flowers, I simply used an Aqua Painter to spread out the colour. But, for the Mint Macaron flowers I had to use a little bit of extra ink from the Mint Macaron ink pad. I went over both sets of flowers with Clear Wink of Stella.
Then I turned on the Netflix and got to fussy cutting. I cut it down to the three largest flower remaining together. Then I also had two medium flowers and three small flowers, cut out separately. I cut out the Rich Razzleberry flowers first and this let the Mint Macaron flowers dry.
I stamped the sentiments in each of the colours onto a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock. Then punched out with the Pretty Label Punch. I adhered together the three flower and the sentiment piece with Tear & Tape Adhesive. I adhered a piece of Nature’s Twine, one in Blackberry Bliss and the other in Mint Macaron, to each of the card fronts, with Tear & Tape Adhesive. Then the sentiment piece over the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I adhere the two medium flowers with Tear & Tape Adhesive, tucking them underneath the sentiment piece. And the three small flowers on top of the sentiment, also with Tear & Tape Adhesive. Finally, I stamped the flowers in each of the colour on to the front of the envelope and the back flap.
Thanks for stopping by, next up is Tina Gillespie.
