I’m back for another wonderful CASEing the Catty Design Team blog hop… This week we are once again CASEing projects from the Sale-A-Bration Mini. So if you’re starting here or joining me from Judy May, welcome!!

This week, I decided to CASE this card from page 15. I just loved how they’ve used water colours and still have the black stamped line, so I wanted to recreate that element.

I started off this card with a technique called “no line watercolouring”, a technique I have tried before.

So I started off with a piece of Shimmery White Cardstock, and the main image from the Lovely Lattice Stamp Set. I used the Stamparatus to position the stamp, stamping in Sahara Sand. I used a post-it to remember where I placed my cardstock for later.

I used my two Aqua Painters to watercolour with. I watercoloured the flowers in Highland Heather, the leaves and stems in Soft Sea Foam, the larger of the leaves I added in some Pear Pizzazz. And finally the background is Pool Party, although next time I would probably use Balmy Blue. I made sure to use my Heat Tool between each colour so the colours didn’t mix.

I put the Shimmery White back into the Stamparatus and stamped over the top in Memento ink. Making sure the image is the right way up, because I almost stamped it the wrong way. I went over the larger flowers with Clear Wink of Stella.

Then I stamped the sentiment from the Amazing Life Stamp Set in Memento ink, onto a piece of Highland Heather Cardstock, that I have used to layer behind the Shimmery White piece. I punched out the sentiment with the Classic Label Punch.

I adhered the Shimmery White piece to the Highland Heather piece with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then onto a Whisper White card base, adhering with Tear & Tape Adhesive. For the sentiment piece I zigzagged a piece of Braided Linen Trim, adhering with Tear & Tape Adhesive. Then adhere the sentiment piece over the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by, next up is Tina Gillespie.

I hope we have inspired you to CASE projects from the SAB Mini. So, please join us over on our Facebook Group.

Until next time… Happy Stampin’,

Lauren
