CTC209: Favourite Holiday Project

First off I wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from my family to yours.

And I’m back with another CASEing the Catty Challenge, CASEing favourite projects from the holiday catalogue. I chose this project from page 31.

For my card, I used the brand new Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set called Hello Cupcake.

For my CASE, I have tried to recreate the colour palette.  I went with a Call Me Clover card base, layering on top a piece of 2018-2020 In Color Designer Series Paper in Call Me . Clover.  I stamped the sentiment in Versamark and heat embossed with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder – looking at it now I wish I had of stamped the sentiment on to a strip of Call Me Clover Cardstock or Versamark, to help it stand out more.

I stamped the three steps of the cupcake in Soft Suede ink on to a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock, then I restamped the top of the cupcake in Versamark ink and embossed with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder.  Then die cut out the cupcake with the second largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits.

I took a strip of Whisper White Cardstock, punch both ends with the Banner Triple Punch and stamp it with the sprinkle stamp in Crumb Cake ink.  Die cut out all three snowflakes, from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits, from Vellum Cardstock.  Adhere the banner with Tear & Tape Adhesive.  Adhere a piece of Braided Linen Thread with Tear & Tape Adhesive.  Adhere the cupcake circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Tuck and adhere all the snowflakes with Tear & Tape Adhesive.  Finally, attach three pearls around the card front.

Until next time… Happy Stampin’,
