CTC203: CASE Hostess Sets

I’m back today playing along with CASEing the Catty Challenge, CASEing projects using Hostess Sets from either catalogue.  I had a hard time choosing between two projects, but I finally picked and chose a project from page 228 of the Annual Catalogue.

For my card I went with the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Stamp Set and coordinating Happy Birthday Thinlit to create my card.  Plus I swapped around the colours and used them in different places.

I started off with a Whisper White card base, stamping the larger outline flower in Gray Granite ink onto the card front.  Then I adhered a piece of Vellum Cardstock onto the card front with Tear & Tape Adhesive.

Cut a piece of Pool Party Cardstock to the width of the card base and cut one side on the diagonal, then emboss with the Scattered Sequins Embossing Folder.  Adhere a piece of Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon along the diagonal edge of the piece of Pool Party Cardstock with Tear & Tape adhesive.

Punch out a piece of Copper Foil Paper with the Starburst Punch, then adhere with Tear & Tape Adhesive.  Adhere the piece of Pool Party Cardstock to the card front with Tear & Tape Adhesive.  Punch out a piece of Gray Granite Cardstock with the 2″ Circle Punch, then adhere to the card front with Tear & Tape Adhesive.

Stamp two large and three small detailed flowers in Pool Party ink, then stamp second steps of the flower stamps in stamped off Pool Party ink.  Fussy cut out all the flowers with Paper Snips.  Stamp the sentiment in Berry Burst and fussy cut out the ‘Happy’ from the sentiment.  Also die cut out the Happy Birthday Thinlit from Berry Burst Cardstock, then trim off ‘Happy’.

Adhere the flowers to the Gray Granite circle with Mini Glue Dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Adhere the die cut sentiment with Mini Glue Dots.  Finally, adhere the stamped sentiment with Tear & Tape Adhesive to the card front.

Until next time… Happy Stampin’,

Lauren
