For the past week, my upline’s upline has been running a different card challenge every day, to celebrate the new Stampin’ Up! year, as well as the World Card Making Day.
Monday – Create a card using a stamp that’s never been inked (or inked in a while)
For me that stamp set that had never been stamped is the Music Sheet Background Stamp. I paired that with the Christmas Pines Stamp Set. The swirly border and sentiment, I hadn’t inked in quite a while.
Tuesday – Create a card using the biggest stamp in your collection
For my biggest stamp, I chose another background stamp, the Marbled Background Stamp. I chose a Mango Melody monochromatic colour scheme.
Wednesday – Create a card using all the stamps in one stamp set
This challenge is always tricky, so I went with Fabulous Flamingo Stamp Set. I decided to use Vellum overlay to wash out the other sentiments.
Thursday – Create a card with the most creative stamped message
For this card, I went with a simple Christmas message. I used the Merry Christmas To All Stamp Set.
Friday – Create a card with loads of texture
This is my favourite card all week, I love how this wreath turned out. I used the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder for the background. The wreath is created with the Sprig Punch, with the colours Pear Pizzazz, Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide and Soft Sea Foam.
Saturday – Create a card using your favourite stamp set
Right now my favourite stamp set is the Peaceful Noel Stamp Set. I have always loved wreaths for Christmas Time. I went with Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive.
Sunday – Create a card with someone in mind
For these two cards, I used the Graceful Glass Designer Vellum and coloured the Vellum with Stampin’ Blends. I used the Label Me Pretty Stamp Set for sentiments.
I loved all the cards that I created. I love the Sprig Wreath… and I this was my first time using the Graceful Glass Designer Vellum.
Until next time… Happy Stampin’,
Lauren
