GDP152: Case the Designer

I’m with a brand new project, playing along with the Global Design Project’s CASE the Designer.  CASEing a project from Jenneke de Jong.

Here is my card, I used Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather for my main two colours.

I started off my card with a Gorgeous Grape card base.  I layered on top a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, that I embossed with the leaf looking embossing folder from the Petal Pair Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, along the bottom.

I die cut out the two flowers from the Petals & More Thinlits, from Highland Heather Cardstock.  I die cut out the second largest circle, from the Stitched Shapes Framelits, from Whisper White Cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous Stamp Set in Highland Heather.  I adhered together the flowers and the stitched circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals, and use them as a guide to stamp the leaves onto the piece of Whisper White.  I stamped the leaves in Lemon Lime Twist.  I stamped two flowers, the solid part in Highland Heather and the detailed in Gorgeous Grape.  Then fussy cut both flowers out.

I added a little Tear & Tape Adhesive to the die cut flowers and adhered to the Whisper White piece.  Then I adhered both flowers with some Tear & Tape Adhesive.  Finally I adhered the Whisper White piece to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Until next time… Happy Stampin’,

Lauren
