Hi, I’m here today to give you a sneak peek of projects coming this week.
By the Sea Card: One of my favourite products in the new Annual Catalogue is the Big Shot Embossing Mats. I used the Embossing Mats to emboss the Adirondack Chair from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits onto a piece of Shimmery White that I have already watercoloured. This card features one of the returning colours from the colour revamp, Coastal Cabana. Other Colours featured Crumb Cake, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party.
Autumn Leaves Card: Before the colour revamp I hardly touched Cajun Craze but now it is one of my favourite colours, especially when I include it in combination with Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie. I was very excited when it was included in the Watercolor Pencils Assortment 2. For this card I used the Embossing Mats once again this time with the Seasonal Layers Thinlits’ Maple Leaves to emboss the card base along with the two leaves that I have coloured in with watercolour pencils onto Shimmery White. This card also includes Wood Textures Designer Series Paper and Copper Trim.
Double Embossing Flamingo Card: Ever since I received this stamp set at Onstage a few years back, Fabulous Flamingo has always been a favourite. I love the flamingo, I love to fussy cut her out, I love the leaf by itself or used with the rest of the stamp set. For this card I used Blushing Bride and Flirty Flamingo (of course!) to stamp the flamingo, but this time for the detailed feather stamp I used Versamark and Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder. For the background I inked up the stamp and spritzed it with water before stamping on to the piece of Shimmery White. I stamped the leaf in Lemon Lime Twist, Old Olive and Mossy Meadow.
All in One Bag & Card: I normally focus my projects on either cards and scrapbooking. But when I saw this bag and card combo all over social media I knew that I wanted to try and make it. I followed along with a video from Ronda Wade. So I created this bag and card with the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper. For the card I included some Rich Razzleberry Cardstock, some Vellum and a piece of Basic Black Cord.
Punch Board Treat Bag & Coordinating Note Card: I created this little treat bag using the Envelope Punch Board, some Night of Navy Medium Baker’s Twine. The note card features the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and the A Big Thank You Stamp Set.
Onstage Scrapbook Page: The last Onstage Local in April for me was in Sydney. I just love the colours in the photos, so much blue. For the watercolouring I used Night of Navy & Coastal Cabana inks. I also used those two inks to stamp across the watercoloured background with leaves from Rooted in Nature. I die cut the letters out for “Onstage” from Whisper White Cardstock with Large Letter Framelits, then used the Big Shot Embossing Mats to spell out “Sydney” onto the watercolour background. To help “Sydney” stand out more I went over the letters with Fine-Tip Glue Pen.
I look forward to sharing more details about these projects in the coming days.
Until next time… Happy Stampin’,
