GDP151: Theme Challenge

I’m back again today, this time playing along with the Global Design Project’s Take Me To The Sea Theme Challenge.

For this card I have gone with a watercoloured layer that has been backed with a Crumb Cake piece that has been embossed with the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder.  The Crumb Cake piece reminds me of a pier.

I started off with a Coastal Cabana card base, I layered on top a piece of Crumb Cake that has been embossed with the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I cut the Crumb Cake piece by scoring the piece of cardstock at 3-1/2″ on both of the long sides and cutting between the two marks.

I inked up my Clear Block F with Pool Party, Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay and spritzed it with a Stampin’ Spritzer and water, then pressed the piece of Shimmery White Cardstock to the block.  I used my Heat Tool to dry it.

Then I used the Big Shot Embossing Mats to emboss the Adirondack Chair, from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits, onto the piece of Shimmery White.  I stamped the leaves, from the Fabulous Flamingo Stamp Set, across the top in Coastal Cabana, sometimes double stamping the leaf.  I stamped the water effect also in Coastal Cabana, also double stamping.  Finally I stamped the sentiment in Coastal Cabana.

Until next time… Happy Stampin’,
