CTC189: Love, Thanks & Support Section

I’m back today playing along with CASEing the Catty Challenge, CASEing cards from the Love, Thanks & Support section.  I chose this card from page 110, that features Healing Hugs Stamp Set.

For my card I changed up the colours to CASE this card.  I swapped Petal Pink… I think. For Lovely Lipstick.

For my card, I started off with a piece of Lovely Lipstick Cardstock.  I stamped the stitched looking stamp from Healing Hugs Stamp Set in Lovely Lipstick around the perimeter of the card front.

Then I took a piece of Shimmery White stamped the flower in Lovely Lipstick and the three sets of leaves around the flower in Old Olive.  I then took my Pool Party ink pad and an Aqua Painter and watercoloured around the flower and leaves.  Put aside to dry.

I took a piece of 2018-2020 In-Color Designer Series Paper and adhere it to the card with Tear & Tape Adhesive.  I stamped the sentiment onto a piece Shimmery White (It was a scrap on my desk) in Memento ink.  I backed this with a piece of Old Olive Sheer Ribbon with Tear & Tape.

If the Shimmery White piece isn’t dry I hit it with my Heat Tool.  I took my Aqua Painter and went over the flower and leaves to give them a watercolour look.  I adhered down the Shimmery White piece down with some Tear & Tape.  Finally adhered down the sentiment piece with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I love how this card turned out, especially with this first attempt at using a DistINKtive Stamp Set.

Until next time… Happy Stampin’,

Lauren
