CI38: Color Challenge

I’m back today playing along with Colour INKspiration’s Colour Challenge.  Using the colours Powder Pink, Gray Granite, Berry Burst, Whisper White & Basic Black.

Here is my card, I used Colorful Seasons Stamp Set and the coordinating Seasonal Layers Thinlits.  I have really been loving this set lately.

For my card I used a Gray Granite card base.  Using the Big Shot Embossing Mats I embossed the leaves from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits twice on my card base.  I also die cut out the smallest leaf out of Berry Burst and Powder Pink Cardstock.

Using an Aqua Painter I watercoloured over the detailed leaves one with Powder Pink and the other with Berry Burst.  Once dry, I went over the leaves with Clear Wink of Stella.

Then I stamped the detailed leaf from the Colorful Seasons Stamp Set, one in Berry Burst and the other with Powder Pink.  Then I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in Memento Ink and cut it out with the second largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits.

I backed the sentiment with a piece of Basic Black Cord.  I also adhered the small leaves around the card with Tear & Tape Adhesive.

I absolutely love the way this card turned out especially the watercolouring over the embossed areas.

Until next time… Happy Stampin’,
