Thinking of You…

Recently I have had to make two sympathy cards this one and another one and I soon came to realize I don’t have many, as in the sentiment on the card below is the only sympathetic sentiment that I own.  So needless to say I was very grateful that the Sale-A-Bration Party Pants Stamp Set was released about a week before I needed it the first time.

This card I used my go to card base of Whisper White Thick Cardstock and layered on a piece of It’s My Party Designer Series Paper Stack.  Then made a stack circles using using the Circles Collection Framelits (3, 4 & 5 from the smallest) and alternated between Whisper White and Mint Macaron Cardstock.  Finally stamping the ‘Thinking of You’ sentiment from the Party Pants Stamp Set.

Remember Sale-A-Bration ends on Thursday 31st March. Products can be earned for FREE with every $90 spent.

Dream Big

This is my first attempt at using the Enjoy the Little Things Stamp Set which all demonstrator received if they attended Onstage last November… So I have had it for a really long time and just haven’t used it mainly because I didn’t know what to use it for apart from the coordinating Enjoy the Little Things Project Kit.

Until I saw a card on Pinterest and decided to case the idea using the dream stamp from the set.  I had also bought the Stars Framelits when they were apart of weekly deals months ago and again never used them.  I thought it appropriate in pairing up the ‘Dream Big’ sentiment and stars.

I used the Whisper White Thick Cardstock as the card base and layered a piece of the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Vellum Stack.  The final layer is a piece of Whisper White Cardstock which I cut the two smallest stars from the Stars Framelits and finished the middle off the star of with a Pearl Basic Jewels.

Here is close up of the stamped sentiment which I have gone over the ‘Big’ with the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush Clear.

#GDP028 Enjoy the His and Hers…

Today I am playing along with the Global Design Project which is a Case the Designer challenge this week.

I love trying to create the same card using the exact same products and just change the colours to create his and her cards. LM16-BC016a.jpg

My Cards: For the background I used step 2 from the What I Love Stamp Set, which is brilliant to use as a background stamp.  I stamped on to the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Vellum Stack with the ‘Enjoy the Little Things’ sentiment from the Enjoy the Little Things Stamp Set using Jet Black Stazon.  I layered the piece of vellum on top of a piece of Whisper White Cardstock and stuck them together with a piece of the Metallics Glitter Tape on either side.  The His Card uses Island Indigo and Silver and the Hers Card uses Rose Red and Gold.

His Card:

Hers Card:

I am really going to miss all these Sale-A-Bration products when they retire on Thursday 31st March.

I stuck everything down with Tear & Tape Adhesive purely because my snail was out of reach and I was feeling lazy. haha.

If you wanted to play along with the Global Design Project and try and Case the Designer: Jessica Williams.  You must enter by 3pm AEDT on Monday.  Just click the picture below to be taken to the Global Design Project website.

Look Who’s Turning…

This blog post has been sitting in the draft pile for over two weeks (oops)…  So I figured I should probably post it be Sale-A-Bration is over and some of these awesome products are retired.  Sale-A-Bration ends on the 31st March (this Thursday), so if you want any last minute products from the SAB Catalogue.  Products can be earned for FREE with every $90 spent in one order.

About the card: I just love the versatility of the Number of Years Stamp Set Bundle (includes the Large Numbers Framelits Dies) that you could take inspiration from this card or any other card that uses this stamp set and make it personalized for whatever number birthday the card receiver is turning.  This one was for my Grandmother who celebrated her 80th early this month.

I used the balloon punch from the Party Punch Pack to punch the Metallics Glitter Tape out.  Making it look like Glimmer Paper without any need for adhesive.

I used the Whisper White Thick Cardstock as the card base matted that with a piece of Bermuda Bay Cardstock and over the top of that a sheet the Botanical Gardens Designer Series Vellum Stack.

#026 | Sketch Challenge

This week I am playing along with the Global-Design-Project again.  I really enjoy playing along with them and see the design teams cards for each weeks challenge they’re always a great source of inspiration.

This week’s challenge is a sketch challenge.  I made the card for my Dad’s birthday.

Here is the card:

LM16-BC012.jpg

I used the “Going Places” Designer Series Paper Stack as the inspiration for the colour scheme.  I stamped the largest balloon from the “Balloon Builders” Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lost Lagoon and Sahara Sands in a cluster and then two separately and fussy cut them all out.  I also stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the same stamp set.

I stuck the DSP onto the Lost Lagoon card base with Tear & Tape Adhesive which I love to use but forget about until I run out of SNAIL adhesive which I have right now.  I also popped all the balloons up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  And called my card done.

Now if you want to play along with this weeks GDP Sketch Challenge.  You have until 3pm AEDT on Monday the 14th March to enter.

Until next time… Happy stamping,

Lauren
